Police authorities in Murcia town are conducting follow-up probe on the suspect that shot a farmer Tuesday.

Fidel Hayagan, 59, of Purok Antawan, Brgy. Canlandog reported that he found his son, 25-year old Bryan about 11AM, Monday at Sitio Lupa, Purok Antawan, Brgy. Canlandog with gunshot wounds on the body.

Local News: Tanod’s Brother Shot Dead

The brother of a barangay tanod in La Castellana was found dead about 12:35AM, Saturday.

Clemico Pales, 44, of Brgy. Puso told police that his younger brother, Nico Pales was discovered 50 meters away from the village proper with gunshot wounds on the right side of his body.

Follow-up investigation by La Castellana Police is undergoing.

Meanwhile, a body was discovered about 6:30AM also last Saturday at Hacienda San Ramon in Brgy. Manalad, Ilog.

Local News: ‘Masked’ Robbers Raid House

Two alleged masked robbers entered a house in Brgy. Guiljungan in Cauayan about 11AM, Friday.

Investigation report said Merly Bolandres, 32, of Sitio Pitogo, Brgy. Guijungan told police that two unidentified persons donned with mask entered their house, declared hold up and took her P21,000 cash and immediately fled the scene.

Police authorities in San Carlos City arrested a grandmother and her grandson in a buy bust operation about Friday morning.

PSupt. Victorino E. Romanillos Jr, police chief, with Regional Public Safety Battalion 6 operatives nabbed Mariam Saomay, 43, of Kainggat, Brgy. Palampas for alleged violation of Republic Act (RA) 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.

Saomay was collared at JV Ledesma Avenue in Brgy. Palampas after she handed two plastic sachets of suspected shabu to poseur buyer in exchange for P500 marked bill.

Warrants of arrest for several criminal charges were served against two detainees inside Bacolod City District Jail about 3:30PM, yesterday.

Bacolod City Police Office (BCPO) reports disclosed warrant of arrest for violation of the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002 or RA 9165 was served against Luis Alfonso, 27, of Helvetia Heights, Brgy. Villamonte.

Alfonso was charged for illegal possession of drugs and detained inside the district jail in Brgy. Taculing with bail set at P120, 000.00 for his temporary liberty.

Local News: Pa Shot in Front of Son

Police authorities in Himamaylan City are in pursuit of suspects that reportedly shot a 36-year old father in front of his son 6AM, early this week.

Vivencio Aniano, of Sitio Adiangao, Brgy. San Antonio was with his son and mounted on their horses when waylaid by two suspects donned with bonnets and shot the victim using a 12-gauge shotgun.

Aniano succumbed to gunshot wounds on the head, face, neck and other parts of his body and declared dead by attending physicians.

Police operatives of Victorias City Police Station busted a man peddling illegal drugs, at about 12:45 PM, yesterday at Brgy. 6 in the city.

PSupt. Santiago Y. Rapiz, Victorias PNP chief led the operation resulting to the arrest of Jerry Magallanes, 35, of Zone 5, Brgy. 6 after handing a small plastic sachet containing suspected shabu in exchange for P300.00 marked money.

Also recovered from him were two cellular phones and P1, 350. 00 cash believed to be proceeds from his trade.

He is detained at the said police station for examination and filing of criminal charges for violation of Republic Act (RA) 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.

Police operatives of Victorias City Police Station is beefing up its campaign against illegal drugs and arrested more drug peddlers within the week.

PSupt. Santiago Y. Rapiz, police chief apprehended Jake Constantino, 30, of Brgy. 19-A after he handed a sachet containing suspected shabu to a poseur buyer in exchange for P300 marked bills. Recovered from his possession were the following; one improvised tooter, P470 cash believed to be proceeds from his sale, disposable lighter and one cellular phone. The raid was witnessed by village head Henry B. Laguna with barangay councilman Rex Erasmo.

Police identified the victim as Raul Banay Jr., of Purok Dangal, Brgy. Taloc who was discovered by his daughter, Riza Jean Arevalo suspended in the air with a rope tied to his neck.

Police report disclosed Bryan Mahometano, Feldohn Era, Aldin Muñez, Edwin Doseyo, Romeo Española and Jestoni Mahometano, all of Brgy. Zone 3, told probers that they were sitting at the grandstand of Pulupandan football field when PO1 Ramon Christopher dela Cruz approached them carrying a firearm.

He is the former Commanding Officer of Sentro de Grabidad (SDG) Platoon Code Name CHERRY MOBILE and now a member of the taxation bureau of the Northern Negros Front, Komiteng Rehiyonal-Negros (NNF, KR-N).

Local News: Two Men Fall in Separate Shooting

Negros Occidental Police Provincial Office (NOPPO) recorded two separate shooting incidents in the province over the weekend resulting to the death of one victim.

Over EB Magalona town, Rogen Delanda, 21, of Brgy. Gahit was rushed to Teresita Jalandoni Provincial Hospital for treatment of a gunshot wound in the arm inflicted by still unidentified person.

Delanda, according to investigation was standing in front of a videoke bar in Brgy. 2 about 3:30AM, Sunday when the suspect on board a motorcycle stopped in front and without provocation shot him in the arm.

Local News: Fire Razes 65 Homes

Several persons were injured while about P1.5 million in properties were turned into ashes when 65 houses were razed by fire yesterday morning at a squatters’ area in Barangay 10 near the San Juan Street station of the Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP) in Bacolod City.

The fire left more than 200 families homeless.

BFP Bacolod’s initial investigation showed that the fire started from a kitchen where something was being cooked but was left unattended.

Police authorities in Kabankalan City are still in pursuit of suspects in a shooting incident that took place early Tuesday morning at Guanzon St., Brgy. 1 in the city.

PO3 Ricky Roger Toledo, police investigator reported that Miguel Angel Sola, 47, of Rizal St., Brgy. 9, Kabankalan City succumbed to multiple gunshot wounds on the different parts of the body when unidentified suspects shot him at about 12:10AM, Tuesday infront of Gud Trading, Guanzon St.

Sola was rushed to Lorenzo D. Zayco District Hospital for medical treatment but was declared dead by attending physicians.

A robbery suspect was apprehended in a joint operation by Binalbagan Police and elements of the Criminal Investigation and Detection Group (CIDG) in coordination with Himamaylan City Police Station.

Eduardo Ondon Jr. alias "One Ball", 30, of Purok Milo, Brgy. San Vicente in Binalbagan town was collared at about 4PM, Wednesday at Villa Subd., Brgy. 4 in Himamaylan City.

The arrest of Ondon was effected through a warrant issued by Regional Trial Court (RTC) Branch 56 Judge Nilo M. Sarsaba for robbery with bail bond set at P40,000.00.
